Championing Inclusive Funding

One of the event’s standout moments was Alda’s participation in the panel discussion on Inclusive Funding, featuring our founder Thorey Proppe alongside esteemed speakers Chisom Udeze, Caritta Seppä, and Valenttina Griffin.

The discussion centred around the transformative impact of funding female and non-binary leaders and how increasing access to resources fuels innovation. Empowering diverse entrepreneurs isn’t just about equity—it’s about unlocking groundbreaking ideas that reshape industries.

Alda’s HQ Comes Alive: A Night of Karaoke & Connection

At Alda, we believe that innovation thrives in environments where people can connect, have fun, and be themselves—which is why we were thrilled to host a karaoke and drinks night at our headquarters in Reykjavik!

Sustainable Funding & the Future of Business

Sustainability was another key theme at Iceland Innovation Week, and Alda was proud to participate in a Sustainable Funding event hosted by Festa – Center for Sustainability. Held at the Icelandic Ocean Cluster House, the event featured leading voices such as Hrefna Sigfinnsdóttir, Kristrún Auður Viðarsdóttir, and Chisom Udeze.

The discussions emphasized the intersection of sustainability, DEI, and long-term business success—highlighting the urgent need for inclusive, environmentally responsible investment strategies.

"Sustainability and inclusion go hand in hand. To create real impact, we need to integrate diverse perspectives into the climate and business solutions of the future," said Udeze in her compelling talk on Diversity & Belonging in Climate Justice.
